Preparing the Way
Distance Learning and Sharing Knowledge
Teachers in developing countries face many obstacles because of low wages. Even basic necessities like food, lodging and transportation stretch their wages to the maximum. Some teachers need to work two jobs just to get by. Many of them would love to have a B.A or a M.A. in education. However the cost of such a basic education for most teachers is nothing but a dream.
Worldwide Christian Schools is ready to launch a Masters Degree Program for teachers which will radically improve the quality of teaching in schools throughout El Salvador. Each teacher will receive a scholarship of $600 to participate in the Worldwide Christian Schools - UNELA University Distance Learning Program. However, this will not be a "free ride" program - once participants graduate from the Masters Program they will be required to teach a minimum of three undergraduate classes to teachers in their own country. This is truly exciting!
Your net impact of helping one teacher acquire a Master's Degree will be multiplied many times in each country through undergraduate courses. Please support this vital equipping program for teachers in El Salvador.
