Roma Christian School in Nagydobrony
Students: 80 / Teachers: 4
Since the demise of the communist block, historic Christian schools with hundreds of years of tradition have once again gained an influential place in Eastern European countries. Since 1989, WWCS has assisted our partners in Hungary, Ukraine and Romania to refurbish school properties in order to empower a new generation of students to help shape the new, emerging Eastern Europe.
Discrimination has followed Roma people, a traditionally transient population found in many areas of Europe, throughout the ages across the world. In the Ukraine, Roma children are sometimes denied access to public education. The town of Nagydobrony in Ukraine stepped in to help launch a small but growing Roma school, which has recently moved from a small house to larger facilities. It is in need of funding for further building expansion because it is growing quickly. Please prayerfully consider how you can help the Roma children of the Ukraine today.
