Praise Christian School in Pulupandan

About the Philippines: The Philippines is comprised of roughly 7,250 islands that are struggling to shed their nickname of "the forgotten islands" of South East Asia. A study done in 2000 stated that the Philippines is the most disaster-prone country on earth, citing typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides. Add to that political instability that has spanned decades, and you are left with a country that is highly in need of the message of hope and love that only Jesus Christ can offer.

School Profile: Praise Christian School in Pulupandan serves children in grades kindergarten through 5th. Nilfa Jandi teaches pre-school at Praise. She writes, "I am well blessed because God has used me in an area where I can relate and share with the kids about Jesus Christ, who suffered and died on the cross for my sins and theirs, and who loves and cares for them. Last February, our coordinator conducted a reading assessment and achievement test for my students and she was really amazed with their performance. I am convinced that my labor is not in vain."
