About the Philippines: The Philippines is comprised of roughly 7,250 islands that are struggling to shed their nickname of "the forgotten islands" of South East Asia. A study done in 2000 stated that the Philippines is the most disaster-prone country on earth, citing typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides. Add to that political instability that has spanned decades, and you are left with a country that is highly in need of the message of hope and love that only Jesus Christ can offer.

School Profile: Faith Christian Academy (FCA) is located in Hacienda (Victorias City), which is about 35 kilometers from Bacolod City, the capital of the island Negros Occidental. The vision of FCA is: "To bring people to God through Christian education and to guide and educate them to be responsible citizens." The goal of FCA is begin a complete preschool and elementary level within ten years and to extend to a complete high school after fifteen years. Constructing a school that would allow for continuous Christian education within one building and a warm, nurturing, and Christ- centered setting would be a unique thing for this entire area! Through sponsorship support this school would be strengthened in its goals of education and Christian outreach to the people of Hacienda (Victorias City).
