Renaissance Christian School in Bago City

About the Philippines: The Philippines are comprised of roughly 7,250 islands that are struggling to shed their nickname of the forgotten islands of Southeast Asia. A study done in 2000 stated that the Philippines is the most disaster-prone country on earth, citing typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides. Add to that the political instability that has spanned decades, and you are left with a country that is in need of the message of hope and love that only Jesus Christ can offer.

School Profile: Renaissance Christian Academy in Bago City is located on the island of Negros Occidental. Founded in 1980, the school aims to give students a well-balanced Christian education. Renaissance considers it its mission to demonstrate a servant's heart to students as a means of spreading the gospel not only to children, but also to their parents.

At first the school used the church building as its classroom, but through the continuous prayers and the efforts of members, parents and consistory, a school building made of wood, galvanized iron, and hollow blocks was built and is now serving pre-school children. The school was entirely dependent on the tuition fees paid by the parents.

The teachers at Renaissance Christian Academy have the potential to serve as educators and evangelists to pre-school children and their parents, given the right support financially. Renaissance is in need of sponsors. Please consider helping this school to serve more children in need.
