Covenant Christian High School in Buchanan
News out of Africa is filled with AIDS, civil war, famine and terrorism. Other stories, however, are of compassion and hope to build up a new generation who will carry a vision for African self-determination. WWCS partners throughout Africa are empowering these future leaders with the tools for building this new Africa through their dedication to Christian schools.
Can you imagine one day being taken out of your home or school by army leaders and then being told that you must fight in a war? Now imagine that you are an eight-year-old child being forced into this warring way of life. This is the story of many children that come to Liberia's Covenant Christian High School. And it is because of this that WWCS, in partnership with a state-side foundation and a community of Christians in Buchanan, Liberia, continues to raise funds to rehabilitate the school after civil strife to educate the "child soldiers" who have carried guns for more years in their lives than school books, to love the Lord and the precious gift of life that He gives us.
Act now!
