Life Frontier Christian School in Garissa

School Profile: Life Frontier school was started in January, 1998 through the efforts of Life Ministry whose mission is to reach the nine Muslim, nomadic tribes living there, with the Gospel. At present the staff provides education for children from kindergarten to grade five. The school plans to enroll students at higher grades even to high school level in the near future.

Agricultural technology will be compulsory for all students so that they can assist parents with farming plagued by drought and banditry. The school is reportedly the best in the region, however, there are pressing needs including the need for a library, new curriculum, education materials as well as food and transportation. Parents are unable to pay for education because of poor farming conditions. Nevertheless, the school plans to start a farm to help meet expenses. The sponsorship program will help ensure that the children attend class and are given quality education. In addition, it is hoped that the program will help give credibility to the school and to the teachings of the Gospel in the community.
