Kameris Christian School in Alale
School Profile: Student enrollment at Kameris Christian School has recently increased from 359 students to 400 due to a new law in the district requiring all parents to send their children to school. Kameris currently has six government teachers and five volunteers.
School manager Amos Liangor writes, "The school is going well with its normal learning activities. We still do well with our performance in games and sports. We appreciate your support - the school used the [sponsorship] money to pay for the volunteer teachers who help at the school, and to pay for school lunches and student transportation. May God bless you abundantly!"
Each student at Kameris pays about $4 per term in tuition. Sometimes it is difficult for farming families to come up with this amount due to drought that affects the harvest. WWCS is partnering with Kameris through the School Sponsorship program, which helps defray the cost of tuition by paying some of the school's operational expenses mentioned above.
Please join Kameris as they strive to impact the lives of children in Kenya!
