Overview
Worldwide Christian Schools has a variety of programs and fund-raising opportunities that help with Christian education around the world. Read these short descriptions to find out how you can get involved in the WWCS ministry.
Programs:
Sponsor a Student - Student sponsors make it possible for more children to receive a quality, Christ-centered education in areas where typically no other educational options exist.
Build a School – School builders fund school construction projects in the areas they are needed most, primarily in the developing world. When a school is eligible, WWCS sends Worldwide Hands mission teams made up of volunteers from North America that build a school, playground or related educational structure free of cost.
Transform a School - This program includes
three categories to which supporters can donate their funds or their time: continuing education for teachers, resource
development for educators, and curriculum development.
Fundraisers & Events:
My Own Bible - My Own Bible was formed with the goal of providing every student in a WWCS partner school with a Bible of his or her own. The program has begun in Africa, but will eventually spread to every WWCS partner school around the world. With the help of WWCS donors, 3,774 children received their first Bible in 2006. $5 puts a Bible into the hands of child in their own language.
Lunch Money - A school lunch is often the only meal a student in India will eat each day. Through the Lunch Money program, WWCS is partnering with these schools by connecting students in North America with students in India. In India, pocket change goes a long way. As little as 20 cents pays for a child’s lunch. School and church classrooms can join WWCS in a Lunch Money coin drive. There is no gift too small, so kids feel empowered to help each other.
Pastor’s Masters Events – WWCS hosts golf events to raise money for Christian schools while also benefiting local churches.
